LISTEN

By: Amanda Tatum

She needs for one person to use their ears.
To actually listen.
She is hurting and the one blamed.
Look at her crystal eyes striking with fire.
Droplets fall down upon her face.
Her heart is racing.
Giving up seems to be getting close.

Dropping to her knees in pain.
Tears are nothing anymore.
Her skin is numb.
She has no self control.
At this point she doesn't care.
She wants to remove the pain,
from under her skin.

A fragile girl torn to pieces.
To walk out of the barrier.
Her skin So she can breathe.
To be lifted off the ground.
To be healed.
So pain doesn't devour.

Look at her face,
Look beyound the smile.
The giggles around you.
Through the skin you see.
Look for it.Her stitched together heart.
Shot by many guns.

Hold her in your arms.
Put a real smile on her face.
Once you see it,
You'll never forget it.
Because then the pain doesn't exist.
She doesn't have the devil
hurting her.

A wonderful dead flower.
Needing to be watered
Just to healed again.
A good person,
Addicted to a high
she can't reach.
That she just wants to touch.

Beautiful babygirl,
Held in sand paper hands.
Precious wrist are tore up,
because she has tried to escape.
To ran to gentle arms.
to someone that will listen
But tomorrow is always worse.

She dreams of what it's like.
fearing she'll never get it.
because a girl like her.
stands like a statue.
with a smile.
with a gorgeous face.
The face you can only remember.
